Strathdarr lambs fetch top price

A record was broken at the Inverell Regional Livestock Exchange during the weekly sheep sale on Tuesday.
Thirty lambs sold by J A McGregor Pty Ltd account of AJ and AM Doering “Strathdarr” Crooble were sold for $245/hd.
The animals were knocked down to Fletchers at Dubbo.
They were bred by the vendor and by White Suffolk Rams out of Dorset X Ewes.
The lambs were sold by Brian “Spike” Baldwin who is the longest serving agent at Inverell.
The market at Inverell was strong with sheep up to $15 dearer, trade lambs were up by $20 to $30 per head and extra heavy lambs increased by up to $45.
